"Now daybreak with the Same useless management I'd say about 20% of things in the shop are priced correctly and it's a bloody mystery what the price is going to be at the till. I recently purchased two items that I needed for dinner that where priced €2.25 and I was shocked when I got to the till and it was something like €8.50. Much better to go to the gala up the road it's a bit smaller but at least you won't get a surprise price So it has happened quite badly again and I have emailed daybreak twice with no response or fixing the problem, I was in the shop and I had 3 items and I worked it out that it should cost €10-€11 and when it got to the till it was all most €16 this is ridiculous and I have talk to other customers about it and they are sick of it too"
"DON'T EXPECT THE PRICE YOU ARE CHARGED AT THE TILL TO BE THE SAME AS THE PRICE POSTED FOR THE ITEM ON THE SHELF! I bought 2 items today, and was charged €2 MORE at the till than the posted shelf price! The clerk said the shelf price they had posted for the items was "outdated" (per the VERY SMALL unreadable print below the price)! If I had not really needed both items I'd have walked out and left them! I was very annoyed and informed the clerk that when I brought an item to the till I should expect to be charged the price posted for it. He made the excuse that he wasn't responsible for changing the shelf price tags and could only charge the price the computer scanned for an item. While this shop was excellent until recently, there seems, with few exceptions, to be all new and very incompetent staff (all either young and ignorant or foreign with limited English comprehension) and there also seems to have been a change in management to someone who is uncaring and incompetent and fails to properly train and supervise the staff."
"Spar Belturbet was good up until of a late. This new generation of staff need to get there act together. So does the manager. Even though this shop is ridiculous over priced with some items , you can get some reasonable priced items. But standards need to be brought back up"
"I used to live in a marina in Belturbet and used this store for all my convenience shopping, its also a service station so you can top up your car with fuel, they also sell marked gas oil so I could fill cans with fuel for my boat and diesel generator. We always support family businesses where possible and we're happy to be customers here."
"Despite informing several members of staff on numerous occasions, they persistently sell moulded vegetables and out of date fruit. NO GOOD IF YOU'RE DEPENDING ON IT. Our nearest shop and we CANNOT rely on it. When staff have been informed of the gone off produce they have simply shrugged their shoulders. Disgusting attitude."
