"Don't be fooled on booking that you are booking, a bed & breakfast it is not, was expecting a hearty breakfast such a disappointment when all I was offered was a tea or coffee while the room and facilities are first class the lack of any heating as it was minus 3 outside meant it was straight into bed no mistake the people are nice but £50 for a bed only is far to expensive will be asking more questions in future."

"We booked the Anglers Rest , Croghan Road Shroankeeragh on a travel booking website. I still have the invoice if the proprietor would like to see it. You will note that this property is not listed on tripadvisor, probably because it is a total Kip Proprietor / owner showed us into an antiquated chalet where we are expected to pay for the electricity by meter. This is not a joke nor an exaggeration. This actually happened. Then he stated that there would be no breakfast. We were offered an alternate room. Room was cold when we arrived. Other guests were provided with breakfast. For EU90 this was a deplorable standard. A ham-fisted lame attempt at hospitality which would have put Ebeneezer Scrooge to shame. I am not in the hotel business. I remark on it, impartially, not for profit. I am not friends with any competing hotelier or B&b person in Ireland. I was a simple traveler on a holiday weekend to see Nathan Carter with another couple and we were taken for a ride by this chancer and his son. Any replies from the owner will be responded to honestly and promptly on this forum Stayed April 2017"
