"I stayed in the Markree Homefarm Apartments were not as advertised. They were badly painted, no plugs in sinks, paint splattered on lovely ironwork and there was a leak in the hall. My room smelt of smoke, even the pillows smelt of smoke. It could be a really special place, but not at the moment."

"Great place to stay and is very warm and cosy. There are beautiful grounds to go for a walk. Its a perfect place to be submursed in nature and I have seen some of the most spectacular sunsets here."

"Booked for 2 adults and 2 kids but when we arrived there were 2 double beds instead of a double and 2 singles. Went straight to the office and was told they don’t do single beds only doubles, I said but there on your website and she looked at her book and said there all booked up. Asked for a WiFi code and was told it will only work in the office. Our internet signal dropped here so couldn’t share with the kids. The more we looked around the place it was quite dirty. We couldn’t check in till 5pm due to Covid cleaning But not sure what cleaning was done as there were webs with wasps in them in most rooms. The beds are an utter disgrace as when you sit on them the frame feels like it’s going to break and the mattresss look like they have been there since it opened. Shower door was broke and only 1 channel on the tv. No smoke alarms put back up just the bracket. We paid for 3 nights and left first thing the next morning and checked in to a hotel for the remainder of our stay. First night was booked out that is why we stayed in appartment for the first night. Emailed when I left that morning about it and was replayed back with lots of excuses 1 being I should get on to my internet provider about my internet. Got my money back as it was so bad but was willing to loss that money and learn lessons about reading some reviews. Hope this helps as we need to stay in Ireland to help the country but don’t want to be robbed at the same time."
