The staff couldn't be more welcoming or professional, taking real pride in their roles and it shows in every moment of your stay or special occasion! We got married here and have stayed multiple times as well. If you are considering this venue, then do it, they make it all so easy and you will have a day you'll never forget guaranteed be it wedding, a short break or anything in between."

"We had the most amazing day getting married in Markree on 12/11/22. We have to thank Deirdre, Nicholas and all the staff for being so professional on the day and on the run up, they are top class. All of our guests were in awe at the venue, many told us the day flowed so well as each part of the day was in another area of the castle without actually having to leave, from the ceremony in the Chapel, speeches on the staircase, dinner in the dining room and then the party downstairs. Having such a striking venue has given us amazing photographs without us spending much time away from our guests. We really wanted something different to a standard hotel venue and Markree delivered. The food all day was really high quality as was the service. The rooms are all so well decorated and feel like a real treat to stay in- while still being much better value than many similar venues. Thank you again to all the staff, we really appreciate the hard work and dedication you put in to make it a memorable day for each couple."

"It's the most beautiful wedding venue I have ever seen. It was exclusive to the wedding party, it's kept very true to original decor. Rooms are huge, beds very comfortable and most have a lovely free standing bath with a view. Food was to die for. Loads of nooks and crannies, paintings and pictures. Featured stairs for photos. Staff are absolutely fabulous. Very attentive, professional and full of smiles. I would love to be able to spend some more time there. Next time!"
