"Starting with the positives: excellent location, free parking, friendly service, clean (albeit outdated) rooms. The negatives: no electrical outlets accessible to one side of the bed (and the outlets on the other side of the bed required a long cord), and a single combined shampoo/body wash—no conditioner. For €255/night, I would have thought they could afford to provide shampoo, conditioner, AND body wash. I don’t mind not having individual sized toiletries, but feel that this is another reason why one single bottle of combined shampoo/body wash is pretty silly."
"Gorgeous restaurant in Central Galway. The hotel is smack bang in the centre of Galway. Great location and top notch service. Absolutely delicious food. Definitely a must for anyone visiting Galway city for any reason. I highly recommend."
"We stayed in this hotel for three nights and it was lovely. There is a safe underground car park, and a bus stop and 24 hour shop right on the doorstep. It's a short walk into town and taxi's are affordable. The place is clean, so lovely and with comfortable beds and a fridge in the room. The staff are amazing, they went above and beyond good service and we were particularly impressed with Karen from the housekeeping team who treated us like family. You can see what a good team they all are and it shows in the service and in their attitudes. This was my first time in Ireland and I want to come back again when I have more time. I would happily stay at the Maldon on Sandy road again. Thanks to the whole team for a lovely hospitality experience."
"Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Rooms are spotless & cleaned daily, breakfast is plentiful. Staff are very helpful, the best of the best has been Lara at the front desk. She has welcomed myself and my kids as if we were family, I travel a lot and I don’t see this treatment often. I had stayed at the Maldron in Oranmore in the past, while it was the first time here in Galway and I must admit that this stay, especially thanks to Lara, has been much better. Had a brilliant stay. Would definitely recommend and would certainly stay here again!"
"First time staying at a Maldron hotel but I am definitely using them again. The room was extremely clean and it had an AC which was very useful as it was very hot when we stayed. The staff were attentive and helpful. Any questions I had, they were very helpful answering. Checking in and out was also very easy to do. The restaurant was very stylish and was a very good price. They were also fine for us taking our drinks to our room. The bathroom was spacious, though I did not like the smell of the soap that was in the room. Water pressure was good. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of plugs. There was also a petrol station our room so if we needed a soft drink we could go to them. We could not hear any of the traffic outside despite being over a petrol station and right by a road. Even though we were a little outside of the city center, it was pretty easy to get in and out of the city."
