"Went into this pharmacy while I was on holiday in Westport to get some nurophen plus for intermittent sciatic pain I suffer. I usually take tramadol under prescription but had ran out. To say I was made feel like a criminal is an understatement. Even after I explained what they where for the pharmacist was very snide she said "you suffer intermittent sciatic pain once a month" rolled her eyes slightly. Even after I explained I had tried paracetamol and Disprin to try ease pain she wasn't happy thay these hadn't worked for me and made me feel like I was lying. She then said I'll give you normal ibuprofen, to which I responded that the nurophen plus is the only thing that really eases the pain other than my tramadol. She wasn't happy with this comment and said " Im only Giving you 12 so" I told her to forget it and left. Anyone who suffers chronic pain or sciatica knows that nurophen plus is probably the best over the counter medication to use short term. So a pharmacist should more than know this information. And most definitely should not make a person feel belittled or feel like a liar. I've never had any issues buying nurophen for short term use in the past. I've never felt so embarrassed and humiliated by a pharmacist who should have a duty of care to patients and customers. So rude and snide and absolutely appalling customer service. I wouldn't recommend using this pharmacy. There is a lovely place just across the street with two wonderful girls in that treated me nicely and also recommended me some heat patches and stretches for sciatic pain. I also understand that codeine is a controlled substance which can be addictive if used long term, but as an adult my word and explanation of my pain should have been enough for this person to give me this OVER THE COUNTER medication that was very much needed after my few days walking around beautiful hilly Westport. Next time I will remember to bring my prescription so I am not treated like a criminal by any other person above their station."
"Medicines, cosmetics available here. Very pleasant staff."
