Macari's Deli Burger 25 Ballymahon Street, Longford, County Longford

"Always very good. Fresh cod and chips....my favourite meal. Very friendly staff. They have the "personal touch". They speak to me using my "name" when I ring to make my order and when I collect my takeaway. I'm an "older person", so that makes me feel good."

"Poisoned me with 2 old microwaved cheeseburgers. Puked all night had to leave work early thanks to them. Deli Burger... more like Deli Purger. Edit: Supposedly they're not old or microwaved (certainly looked like it though), which means that they were contaminated. I don't know if it's poor hygiene or bad practices, but mine was the FOURTH case (in our shift) of getting sick after eating food from Deli Burger, to the extent of being unable to work. Even when the food is NOT contaminated: pizza is absolutely horrible with a dry leathery crust and barely any tomato sauce, burgers are overcooked, RAW CHICKEN in a kebab,withered lettuce, pepper+ cucumbers and on top of all that they don't even know how to stack a half pounder properly, so it just falls apart in your hands. I've had better food made by first time amateurs. This place doesn't care about it's reputation, your wellbeing or your satisfaction. As far as fast food goes, this one is so fast it'll give you an express ticket to the hospital. Stay away, you're better off starving for a day, at least you won't have to lose pay over the incompetence of quack chefs who couldn't care less what food they put out, I wouldn't feed this filth to a rat. I'd rather eat a grilled shoe sole than order anything from here."

"Ordered a pizza , well done ….. first of all they must’ve brought it on a tour around Ireland because it took over an hour for a pizza ……. I expected the pizza to be “ well done “ but instead found a few nibbles out of it and half of them raw and felt like a pair of rubber gloves on me hand … wouldn’t recommend unless you’re planning on getting your pizza delivered cauld 24 hours after ordering … disgraceful other than that now enjoy ."
