"Lovely place in the river side to go for a walk. Very nice and calm place to spend and walk in the city. Highly recommend"
"A hidden gem close to the city, wonderful and varying collection of wild birds which kids love feeding. In spring/summer the swans and cygnets can be seen touring the lake. The only issue with the place is that the reeds appeared to have taken over much of the lake around the wooden 'pier' on west side of the lake. It's an amazingly quiet place seeing it's so close to a busy road and only minutes from the city."
"Good place for a walk but still need a lot of work to make it more attractive."
"I often go there with my husband and daughter to look at all the beautiful rare ducks and birds that wouldn't see anywhere else, we must have spotted at least 5 different kinds of ducks last week alone! It's also a great place for dog walks and picnics if the Irish weather allows it so. It's so close to the city but yet it feels like you're so far away from the hustle and bustle of the busy Limerick."
"A wonderful place to walk the dog feed the birds or simply get a little exercise with the kids. The Westfield wet lands are a fragment of the previously more extensive Shannon estuary Wetlands that were made up of marshes and tidal mud beds it plays home to a variety of species including urban red foxes hedgehogs various amphibians as well as being over wintering spot for various species of water Birds"
