"Such a nice little lake! One of my favourites from now on. I can imagine what a buzz can be there in the summer. So relaxing, so calming and the water is crystal clear. Could be a really good destination for a quick trip to relax. I would absolutely recommend it from the bottom of my heart! "
"Nice spot to stop Lough Rea close to the town. Popular with swimmers and has a lifeguard at times - toilets and sheltered changing areas nearby. Large car park has a height restriction but campervans can use a lay-by close by the entrance."
"The place is pristine. A beautiful spot to take a walk, have a picnic and go for a swim. There were life guards on duty when we visited and the water looked very inviting. Lots of grassy areas to sit and there are toilets on site. My own personal favourite, plenty parking. The place is visibly very well looked after, I highly recommend a visit."
"The Hotel & Spa we stayed at in Loughrea, was highly rated, but did not have a swimming pool and why would they? When you have a beautiful natural pool like this! Long point was absolutely brilliant. Large area of clear shallow fresh water with a combination of sandy and rocky floors. There are lifeguards for emergencies, changing areas,Large parking area and toilets. It was not crowded as one would expect. Great for every age group with structures built in to assist with easy access to the water. A must visit for everyone in Ireland."
"Beautiful spot for a quick dip. It has some ladders too, so it's perfect for winter when you wanna jump, but also get out as fast as you can. Has good bathrooms, showers and changing area, although they're closed in winter. Massive parking area, some of which is facing the water."
