"Very clean and had everything we needed from tootbrushes and razors to hair dryers and irons. Fridge is fully stocked with breakfast included. The shower is amazing very powerfull and always hot. And the paul the owner was very welcoming i will definitley stay here again."
"We had a lovely ensuite room in a home with a nice spacious kitchen. Location wasn't too bad either. Cookes bar which is right around the corner was lovely. They have a traditional sesh night some days. Room had a wardrobe and bedside tables and a small table and chair and the bathroom was spacious."
"Our stay here was enjoyable for the most part and the location is great, most of the main parts of Galway are a maximum 15 minute walk away. However I would like to emphasize that really the only thing you gain here is location. Paul was a great host and very friendly I will list some pros and cons here Pros Good Location. Many things within walking distance Good friendly host. We mainly worked with Paul and he was great. Other residents were friendly and it was nice to meet new people Nicely Clean rooms and bathrooms They have a few accessory items like plug converters, hairdryer, etc, in a shared location for all to use if you forget something Refrigerator/freezer They had someone come in most days and clean the common area as well as supply fresh towels A washer/dryer combo in the kitchen to wash your clothes was very useful. Free WiFi that worked great even for watching movies. HDTV in the rooms Bed was comfortable Rooms can be locked Shower works great and water is hot CONS Severe lack of shelving in the bathrooms, you will have nowhere to place your items. In fact lack of shelving even in the bedrooms. Both rooms could do with a small shelf on the wall. Tiny end tables near the bed that have very sticky drawers (hard to open and close). They need waxing. Actually it would be better to push the bed to one side and put in a full size dresser so shirts, etc would actually fit in the drawers. The bed does has drawers under the mattress for storage but the drawers were dirty with lots of hair in them. Electrical problems.. Breakers tripping randomly for who knows why. The locks on the rooms use skeleton keys, which are cumbersome to use No A/C but I think this is common in Ireland. Just be aware. Dishwasher was broken so you had to wash your own dishes. The bar being right behind the building yes gets pretty noisy at night with people. I can usually sleep through stuff like that without too much trouble but you also need to be aware. Cigarettes smoke would come in through the windows at times if you let them open. I would avoid room number 4 it is directly above the bar and will be VERY noisy when people are at the bar. I had room 1 which was furthest away and with the windows closed it was fine (but would start to get a little warm). I would probably have to say, though, that if you have a B&B or a hotel downtown they would probably also be noisy with the windows open since there are so many people in that area. Little things like the salt and pepper shakers in the kitchen not working Breakfast means cooking for yourself. Bread, eggs, milk, bacon, pudding, is all provided for you though. Without the dishwasher working though, it's even more work to clean up afterwards. May not be easy to find a place to park if you rent a car Overall I think our stay was pretty good, it was nice to be able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go in town. There are just small things that become annoying after a week and you wonder "why?" ."
"This could have earned a 5 rating, as the room was very nice and comfortable, and our host really went to great efforts to please us. However, there was just too much machine noise coming from the back room of the business downstairs for our stay to be rated as "perfect""
"Amazing room, great location, next Tesco market, bus stops, the university and the Galway Cathedral . You can prepare your meals on the kitchen very easy, the have a dishwasher and laundry machine with dryer. Excelente service. We enjoyed stay here for 8 days."
