Reviews
"Old building in the city centre. Easy access to every place in Galway."
"Niland House Apartments are located on Merchants Road between the Spanish Arch and Eyre Square. They are just off the busiest part of Galway City Centre, near Shop St, High St and Quay St. They offer a tranquil nest within a two minute walk of all the fun that the thriving cultural city of Galway has to offer. An ideal location for students or visitors to any of Galway's many famous festivals."
"They deffinitely should add more things to your kitchen. All we really had were three plates a handfull of silver wear and a small saucepan. Also the washer drier system practically drowns your clothes and then after that basically melts them and they are still soaking wet. The shower is kind of cold and its a pay as you go electricity system. The appartment is kind of musty which makes the furniture feel damp. It could also do with a redecoration of art and furniture. Also the lobby isnt very tidy. One day we found dog poop on the floor and it was there for several days. It is however an alright place to stay at if the main purpose of it for you is a place to sleep. Really great if you are a traveller or tourist who expects to be on the road and adventuring and eating out all the time because there is absolutely nothing to do in the appartment. Does have WiFi and several outlets. Really good view of the city. The landlord oliver is really kind as well as his staff. I would not reccomend for a family especially if you have kids but only because there is nothing to do there"
"I have been living in the two bedroom apartment since September this year and I am so delighted I found this place to live. The apartment is spacious and has a lot of light, everything is clean and comfortable to live in. Most importantly the landlord, Oliver, goes extra mile to help with any questions and requests, very generous, he gave me extra brand new bed with new matress, new furniture and all the appliences I needed, and tries everything to make my family's stay as comfortable as possible. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I saw that Oliver replaced a dozen matresses to brand new ones in neaby apartments as well. He is very responsive, generous and kind. I am very happy living in the Niland House and I hope to live here as long as I can. I wish I could put more stars if it would be possible!!!!"
"We stayed here for one night only recently, having stayed here about 15 years ago. The place hasn't been touched since. Barely fit for humans to stay in. Oliver the contact person, rarely picked up his phone but would respond to sms immediately with short abrupt answers. Musty, taps falling off, cold shower, mouldy bathrooms. Last decorated in the early 90's by the looks of it. Charged €120 for a disgusting two bedroomed flat that students would even turn their nose up at. Daylight robbery. We'd have been better off sleeping under a bridge. We left our payment with the cleaning lady, out of personal pride only. I have to give 1 star or it won't let me post this review (otherwise I'd leave no stars). Stay here only if it is the last place on earth and you don't fancy sleeping rough!"
