NEDOC Navan Doctor on Call

"Don’t answer the phone after a day of trying to contact them I got an answer, told me I could possibly have appendicitis but said they have no appointments for 2 days and cannot help me, what’s the point of being a ddoc then? The following day went to A&E spent the week there because they said infection wasn’t treated soon enough."

"NEDOC Navan Called them at 6:15 on Friday and was on hold for about 20 mins, after a quick chat i was told a nurse will get back to me in about 30 mins as they're getting lots of calls. Sure enough at around 7:15pm i got a call from a nurse who asked for my details and symptoms and gave me an appointment for 9:30pm the same day. Got there 10 mins early, they let me into a waiting room and the nurse saw me right away. Did some tests and and explained that they also provide house visits and the doctor will be back in 30-40mins. 10:20pm i got seen by the doctor and got antibiotics prescribed. Considering the only other option was waiting till Monday i am very happy with this service. Yes the wait times are a bit longer compared to standard gp but keep in mind it's usually weekend/bank holiday, cut these people some slack. There's no walk in clinic, only by phone appointment If you're experiencing severe allergic reaction to peanuts like one of the other reviewers I'd rather go to the a&e"

"Received wonderful care for our 4 month old daughter. From the initial phone call with the nurse to the appointment with the Dr, we felt very reassured that our daughter was being well looked after. Thank you for the wonderful service you provide."

"I am very disappointed with the treatment of patients. The recommendations of the Government on wearing masks are completely ignored: With effect from Monday 28 February 2022, the mandatory requirement to wear masks has been removed. Who should not wear one Face masks are not recommended for anyone who: has trouble breathing is unconscious or incapacitated is unable to remove it without help has special needs and who may feel upset or very uncomfortable wearing them needs to communicate with someone who has learning difficulties, is hard of hearing or deaf. If you are not wearing a mask, the reception does not even start talking to you. They assign you an appointment, you come at the appointed time and wait another hour until you are accepted. Someone comes without the appointed time and they take him immediately."

"Worse experience ever, Firstly no one picks up the phone, So we took a chance and drove out to see if we could see a Doctor, still on the phone waiting. Arrived and not allowed in, so sitting in the parking lot while still on the call waiting for someone to answer so we can make an appointment. An hour later we decided to leave. Health of our toddler is apparently is secondary to holding the line in order to make that appointment. If you seek urgent medical care for you child please look somewhere else. Just an addon, turned out our toddler had a chest infection coupled with a bacterial infection all the while we were left to sit and wait in our car outside. If I could give zero stars I definitely would."
