"My husband and I are staying nearby in Tubbrid and happened to stop in Freshford to look for provisions for the night. We wondered into J Kavanaghs and James was so friendly and helpful! We picked up what we needed at the Petrol station and decided to come back in for a pint. We are so glad we did! We had the best time and met the most friendly people. James was super hospitable and showed me how to properly poor a Guinness. I took over the bar after that and told him to go home! Ha ha just kidding. After some fun chatting with the local patrons, (Tom was very kind and we enjoyed sitting with him), and drinking enough to numb the 24 hour-no-sleep zombie-ness we decided to head back to our B&B. We can’t wait to pop by tomorrow and also hopefully experience the Hurling tour that James offers! Thank you for your hospitality and kindness! Sarah & Sean"
