"Unfortunately not a very good experience. Went to change my glasses and received same a week later. They were readers which were fine for reading closely but anything five feet away was blurred. Was not informed at any time that verifocals would be the only glasses which would avoid this. Once home I soon discovered that what I had received were useless to me. I returned the following day to be questioned by a lady with glasses as to why I had not requested verifocals and that readers were just that. She proceeded to give me a lecture at which point I asked her to complete my order. Please do not lecture your customers. I now have to wait another two weeks for my glasses and am totally dissatisfied with the customer service.Especially paying private and another €240 to boot. I will not be a returning customer when it is time to replace my glasses. 4 weeks later and still no glasses. Several phone attempts made, no answer. Am I surprised?"
"Such a disappointing experience with Specsavers Ennis… firstly the optician who preformed my eye test was extremely rude, treating me like a child and snapping at me because I didn’t answer her questions in the manner she wished, then accusing me of not really wanting to get new glasses anyway… I didn’t order them at the time as the difference between my existing prescription and the new one was minimal…. Deciding I wanted prescription sunglasses I returned to order them on March 31st and availed of the 2 pairs for price of one. Was told my glasses would take 2 weeks and should have them by April 14th… no sign of the text on the 14th, but Easter had come in between so was giving a little grace. Rang on Thursday the 20th to be told that the glasses had not come in and the young lady I was speaking to would ring the manufacturer and call me back.. no call back, called into the shop the following day he 21st to be told they had come in and that there was a problem with the lenses, and I should have them by Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. At no stage had I been contacted to explain the delay…..Rang again today the 28th and asked to speak to a manager, he was ‘in a meeting’ and could not talk to me, BUT would call me back. The Young lady I was speaking to asked for my date of birth so she could check my file and see what the problem was…..Rang again at 5.45 this Evening as guess what, no one had called me back. To be told the director and manager had been ‘too busy’ to call me…..nor had she checked my file…. She did apologise, but really that apology was worthless…. I am told I will get a call tomorrow, but as I told her, I’m not holding my breath…..it would appear that my custom is worthless, once they have my money,"
"Staff friendly and helpful in choosing glasses with me"
"This is a disgrace of a company. It won’t let me give zero stars! I’m a customer of over 20 years, buy glasses every few years and contacts monthly on the mail scheme or in store occasionally. I don’t know is it the company over all or the fact that they constantly change staff, no one ever seems to know what they’re doing, when I have to pop into the Ennis store for any reason, which isn’t often, it’s an ordeal and takes so much time!! Recently I popped in to make an appointment as I received a letter my test was over due, which happened to coincide with my lenses running out, made an appointment for 3 days later and asked to purchase a box of lenses to get me through the few days and I was told no! I understand I was overdue a test but I only received the letter last week and as a long standing customer and contact lense wearer, aswell as having an appointment in the next few days I thought this was extremely disappointing. I have a very high prescription and don’t wear glasses during the day as they are so thick and heavy and it very upsetting not having lenses. Again I understand it’s partially my issue I was down to my last pair but they were so unwilling to help out. After pushing it they gave me 3 pairs and charged me €7.50!!!! I will make my appointment because I need lenses but I will finally be changing to another opticians after that. They don’t seem to take customer service seriously with new student employed there every couple of months. Really bad form. Very disappointed and upset customer."
"Recently purchased a 2 pairs of glasses along with an eye test from Specsavers Ennis. The staff were so helpful in picking out the right pairs and offered to help in any way they could. The service was second to none and I will definitely be returning in the future!"
