"Poor service and bad attitude The after sales service in this shop leaves a lot to be desired. Initially the in-store service was good, the owner was very helpful when my mum and sister visited on the 6th July and when some some sandals were out of stock the owner offered to order the sandals and have them delivered within a few days for an extra fee. Two weeks passed and nothing arrived. My mother contacted the shop and the owner informed her that they had forgotten to contact her to tell her that her sandals were not available and asked if she would accept an alternative which she agreed to. My mother accepted this error, these things happen, and again she was told the sandals would be sent in a few days. A week passed and no sandals. My sister phoned to enquire and was met with a hostile and rude reply. He basically washed his hands of the situation. The co-owner was even less helpful, telling my sister she should have collected the shoes. Conflicting information from the co-owners! It seems that the service is great in normal circumstances but at the slightest suggestion of a problem, the attitude changes. Needless to say more days have passed, still no sandals, no refund and no apology."

"Based in Portarlington, it has been one of my favourite shops. If you have foot problems your physiotherapist may have told you about this hidden gem. The staff really know what you want just by talking to you and watching how you walk. During the lockdown you may have to ring and make an appointment."

"There is a really good selection of footwear in this shop, probably not for younger customers. I buy most of my footwear here. Lyle and his wife ( sorry I don't know your name) are helpful and pleasant. I bought Reiker boots a few weeks ago. They are so comfortable and I love how they look. I could even bring my dog in with me. That is friendly customer care."

"Returning a pair of shoes that had a flaw, Lyle's took them back no problem and we selected another replacement pair. They welcomed us and our dog into the shop, a very pleasant shopping experience. Would recommend highly."
