"***Edited for accuracy and to reflect the great efforts made by the shop to address the negatives listed below. Thank you!*** Positives: The staff are brilliant and helpful e.g. they help you make the most of vouchers, go find out prices for you, etc. The store is clean and easy enough to navigate. Good variety of produce and foods, like fresh sushi, rotisserie, fresh fish, Sheridans cheesemongers chutneys and cheeses, breads and pastries, etc. A useful place for gifting; there is a good selection of plants, flowers, cards, small homeware and seasonal items. The wine and spirits section is well organised and is well stocked. They also have a household products section that is pretty decent, complemented by a homeware and clothes section with a café on the first floor. Negatives: Variety of frozen vegetables was rather poor on the day. Not much commitment to sustainable packaging for own brand foodstuff (but lots of options to buy packaging free fresh produce. Used to stock solid shampoo (Garnier) but no longer do."
"Good selection of clothes upstairs. Annoying to have to pay upstairs even if you need things in groceries downstairs after (my child won't use the moving stairs and there's no internal lift). Security guard was really rude to me once. Carpark can be a nightmare to exit"
"Will never go back. A truly horrific shopping experience is the best way to describe this whole ordeal. I went in to do my weekly grocery shop as I had a dental appointment out that side and said I’d give it a try. Scanned through my shopping but when I went to pay the machine was down and wouldn’t accept payment. The cashier said I will break the bill down to €50 so I can continue to pay contactless until transaction is complete. First €50 excepted but wouldn’t work after that. A member of staff was called over to assist and she said they were having same problem at another till and not to worry that she would transfer the bill to another till and I could just pay there. As I was in a hurry I told my husband and son to go with shopping and I would settle up. 30 mins later after the staff member roared and shouted at me because they couldn’t transfer the transaction back I offered to pay cash (but bank machine was out of order) she continued to roar at me for letting my husband go with the shopping. THEE so called manager came and told me I couldn’t give cash or leave the store and that I would have to leave my 10 year old at his football match waiting because they needed to sort this out. Eventually they found it and tried to overcharge me the €50 contactless I had managed to pay at the first till. In total 5 staff members for this one transaction. The manager told the girl roaring at me to go and he would deal with it, obviously to get her out of sight, and all remaining members stood there on ceremony as I left the store shaking and in tears. Not one word said to me and no apology for that horrible abuse I endured from that girl. It was no fault of mine and yet I had every customer stare at me as if it was. Shame on you Dunnes Dtores and shame on you for treating a loyal Dunnes Customer in that manner. We spend on average €350 per week in Dunnes let alone homewards etc are additional. Tesco has opened beside me in Headford and for sure next Saturday I’ll be there."
"Dunnes Stores - Briahill Not a bad store at all, it's a good size and stocks most groceries you might want, The fresh breads and pastries are nice but a little bit expensive. The deli counter is good, The general store is fine with a big car park and also the underground parking is great for the bad weather but it's a real pain in the head trying to get out of the car park but that's not Dunnes fault. Upstairs is the clothing and home ware departments both are okay but I mainly use the food shop. The other few shops around make it feel and look better."
"Good shop but ques for Christmas are long.."
