"I first learned on my own 13 years ago here in Ireland and have been surfing a dozen times since and have never been able to really grasp it till today! As a (humbly) expert level snowboarder surfing has been still very hard for me. Ben personally gave me tips about my transition to standing and I caught more waves today than I have in my life combined even in the not ideal wave conditions. Highly recommend them for equipment and lessons! Thanks again Ben!!!"
"I have had a number of surf lessons in different parts of the world and this was by far the best experience! Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Everything appeared very organized and efficient. Incredible value. 40 euro for equipment and a 2 hour lesson... not kidding! The setting is serene, the waves were consistent, locals friendly and no rocks in site. This is a must stop for first time surfers or even improvers like myself. Even the owner was out coaching and giving tips. 5 Stars."
"Super place to learn to surf. My wife and I did the 2 hour beginner lesson, there was another couple with us so total 4 people in our class. Our instructor was great, friendly and knew his stuff. Gave us the right level of info, not too much messing about on the beach (but enough to get us basic understanding of what we needed to do). This meant plenty of time in the water where the instructor kept their eye on us and gave us more tips and advice once he could see how we did on the boards. Good quality of boards and wetsuits. All round great experience we are already planning our next lesson. Also, Lahinch is a good learner beach and although the wind was strong onshore there was still some decent enough waves for us to catch."
"I've surfed in various places in Ireland, Morocco, Portugal, France, Spain, Costa Rica, the Canaries, Australia and Sri Lanka and this is the best surf school I've taken lessons in. It really is a clinic, you can say what you would like to focus on and they will also have some ideas. I would take an absolute beginners course in whichever school or meetup in Bundoran or somewhere. Then if you get interested in the sport and really want to get better, come to Ben's for a week and you will see the difference. Ok for fun surfers, as well, but I would see the most benefit for those who really want to get better. Say what kind of surfer you wanna be and they will accommodate. Awesome place, awesome people."
