"We went here for breakfast one morning and both ordered banana and syrup pancakes, alongside an iced coffee and a coconut milk flat white. The pancakes were €8 per portion. The *store-bought* pancakes arrived to us at our outdoor table on a *paper plate, with plastic cups of maple syrup, and a plastic fork and wooden knife.* Then our coffees arrived both in takeaway cups. My first point to note is the amount of waste this place must produce per order is unacceptable and unnecessary. We did not order to takeaway, so we should be given real plates, cutlery and cups. Then, they used non-barista coconut milk for my flat white, which curdles the milk and doesn’t taste good. In trying to be helpful, I told the staff that they could just buy the barista version instead and their milk would froth. To this I was told that they “can’t get that stuff over here”. But you can - it was in the SuperValu down the road.. Despite a few other altercations, the main reasons I’d warn other against going here is because it was completely over-priced for what your getting - €8 for pancakes out of a packet is insulting as no effort was put into them being made. Their coffee - for a café - is well below a basic standard. And the environmental impact of the waste they are producing due to their lack of proper cutlery and dishes is heart-breaking and frankly irresponsible. It’s a beautiful location, try keep it that way. I hope this review is helpful to future customers, but more importantly to the café itself in ways it can change for the better. I wish them luck in the future."
