"My husband and I are a Canadian couple who recently got married in Ireland this past March. We have previously visited the country back in 2016 & 2018 and fell in love with its charm, people & culture. We had about 25 of our closest family and friends travel to Ireland for the wedding and so we really wanted them to fall in love with the country like we did. After the wedding, we booked 3 bus tour days with Luxury Irish Tours to bring them around our favourite parts of the west coast. I emailed Claire with what we absolutely wanted included in the tour and within a day or so, she had replied with a personalized itinerary to tour the beautiful west coast. My husband and I have taken a few non-personalized tours on our previous trips but NOTHING compared to how unique and amazing Luxury Irish Tours was. The main reason being our amazingly charming and funny bus driver/guide Joe Haney. Joe was incredibly funny and knew so much history. He was personable and told us so many stories as we travelled on this bus for hours a day exploring. He went out of his way to take group photos which our only disappointment is that we have none with him! Joe agreed to different pick up times each day (whatever suited us better) and often gave us 2 or 3 options for new stops throughout the day. A few personal things Joe did for us that we can't forget: - At the sheepdog demonstration, he organized for them to give us a free shot of whiskey/lemon to celebrate - One of my friends had to drop off her rental car and was going to be late for pick up – Joe catered to her by picking her up at the car park on the way to our first destination. - On the way to the cliffs of moher, he stopped on the side of the road to join a party of people celebrating a birthday. we had champagne together and celebrated - made detours to show us places that he personally finds special, to which we also found very special (specifically Killarney) - On the last day, he called his friend who owned a pub up the road to see if he could open just for us! To our surprise, he did and we had the whole pub to ourselves for a morning pint on Connemara coast. Joe brought everything we love about Ireland together and we could not be happier with our 3 days spent with him exploring. We all miss him dearly and honestly consider him a friend. As for the tour company itself – very responsive, reasonably priced, and extremely personal. Claire even wished us a happy marriage before our wedding day which was very touching. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
