"Derek took my husband and I on an all-day tour of “mystical places” in Ireland, including a 6000-year old site, abbey, and church. Derek is (1) Extraordinarily knowledgeable and shares his knowledge in an easy, very informative and relaxing manner. We enjoyed this day-long tour immensely. He was, as my husband and I both agreed, a pleasure to be with, highly knowledgeable and informative and (in case you are not used to country roads, an excellent driver whose comments on history and place added much value as we drove through different landscapes e route to several ancient sites. 5 stars!!!!!"
"Derek provided us with an exceptional tour of Inishmor and a little bit of Connemara. He perfectly gauged what kind of information we wanted to hear (historical and cultural) and how much of it (quite a lot). There seemed no end to his knowledge! At the moments when we wanted simply to enjoy the scenery, he left us in peace. He communicated useful information ahead of time (weather, need to purchase our own ferry tickets, meeting location and time). He drove safely and briskly from Galway to the ferry at Rossaveel and arranged for a driver with local knowledge on the island. He recommended some great places to hear traditional music in Galway and even offered to swing by the grocery store on the way back to our apartment rental."
