"The food was tasty. The pints were perfectly poured. The bartender was friendly and welcoming. Minus one star because the manager did not seem overly interested in helping. Case in point. My wife has gluten allergies. The chips were gluten free, she ordered those. When she asked about the ketchup being Gluten-free, (some ketchups have malt vinegar which has barley) the bartender didn't know, so he wisely asked the manager when she was walking past. Without hesitation she just said "no", and moved on. I saw a table next to us finish their meal and leave, whilst also leaving the ketchup bottle. So I grabbed it to check on it. Lo and behold the ketchup was the gluten free sauce. It irked me at the cavalier attitude the manager had. At least bring us a bottle if you don't have the time to check yourself."
"I had the ravioli with basil sauce. It was fabulous. My sister had the beef short ribs and she was delighted. Delicious food and wonderful service. Thank you Old Lodge."
"Good food,nice atmosphere. Very pleasant staff. Love this place. Dinner for four of us with coffees came to about 80 Euros, which for an evening meal is pretty much the going rate. I recommend if you're in Shannon this is a good spot."
"Nice spot for grub. Food was enjoyed by all. Beautiful venue with no expense spared on decor. Staff were casually dressed which was fine by me although one guest, a restaurant owner, took mild exception. Service was swift and friendly and we never felt under any pressure to vacate our table."
"Ordered a veg stir fry with half & half and was served a chicken stir fry with rice. They were quick to fix it but what I got as veg stir fry was simply chicken pieces removed from earlier dish and added loads of sauce/oil. See the image, a small number of veggie are swimming in the pool of oil (or something similar)"
