The Village Inn Bar & Restaurant , Loughrea, County Galway H62 DX63

"This is a lovely restaurant with polite and lovely staff. We had quite a few issues though while eating here lately. One of our main courses didn't arrive, and when we inquired about it a main course did come but it wasn't what was ordered.. eventually the missing meal came but the rest of the party had already finished eating by then. The main salad that one of our party ordered was gritty as if leaves had not been properly washed. Also we had to ask for water for our table though we noticed other tables all had water at them. Some other small things like different flavour of ice cream came than was ordered etc. All in all the atmosphere, warmth of the place price and friendliness of staff was lovely. Just more attention to detail would have been great. Also perhaps an offer of a free dessert or anything at all for the main course mess up would have been appreciated."

"Once a small pub, now been upgraded immensely. Interior decor has been modernized, cleaned up and honestly looks great in there. Food was fantastic, I enjoyed the guiness Roast beef and honestly can not fault it, meat was full of flavour, gravy had a sweet flavour but just the right amount. The service was great, we were well looked after. So happy to finally have tried the village inn again, great experience."

"Absolute gem in Kilchreest, just had a delicious meal here and will definitely be back. Staff couldn’t be more friendly and the decor both inside and outside is lovely. The chef really knows what they’re doing - the food is top notch. Everything is great quality and well seasoned which is hard to come by these days! Very impressed. Will be recommending it. "Stopped on our way back from Shannon, rang ahead to see if they caterer for celiac which they did and was amazed at the availability of the Gluten free options. Ordered the burger chips and onion ring and they where delicious, staff where very helpful and friendly the food is amazing all plates where cleaned ,compliment to the chef.we will be back"
