"Unfortunately Loughrea did not live up to expectations. We went for the diamond package. Our experience in the spa was wonderful, the ladies were amazing and the treatments were brilliant but it quickly went down hill from there. At dinner we were constantly apologized to for the delay with our food nearly an hour later when our steaks did come out they were cold. The staff were apologetic and took away my wife's steak to bring another. She had ordered a medium rare. When the next steak came it was rare. She was unable to eat it. We decided to just leave it and settle the bill. Only after paying did we discover they brought us the wrong bill and over charged us. With everything said, the waitress that served us was lovely and the manager that rectified the pay was very professional. Staff we encountered all get 5 stars but unfortunately our visit was not what we had hoped for."

"Had a nice lunch here today,however we had to wait almost 10 minutes to be seated eventhough there were lots of empty tables,we had to ask for our order to be taken and had a long wait for food.The food was tasty when it arrived. I asked for a doggy bag to take away half of my uneaten wrap,I had to ask three times for the bag. Hopefully service will improve here, as it's a lovely hotel."

"Myself and hubby went here for a meal. There didn't seem to be many staff around the restaurant. Different people tending to our table throughout the meal. My husband ordered matt's burger for main and chowder for starters, both were delicious. I had chicken wings for starters, delicious. The stir fry noodles main course was quiet disappointing, wished I had ordered something else. The dessert was nice, simple ice cream, and a very generous portion at that. It was also very pricey, it was 70.00 for the two of us, with no alcohol/coffees in that bill."

"Excellent hotel, very high standards, extremely clean. The staff are very welcoming tidy. Very nice Customer Service. I would definitely recommend coming to this hotel if you want to visit the local area and relax. This is quintessentially Irish experience at its best. You definitely won’t be disappointed but will be a very relaxed. After your experience. The food is top quality with good portion sizes. Breakfast is made to order and is of a good standard."

"My daughter and son-in law celebrated their wedding at Lough Rea Hotel and Spa on July 23, 2022. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and accommodating. They made their Wedding day a MAGICAL EXPERIENCE!!! Ciara and Ana at the Front Desk were the nicest ,and most caring people at the hotel. They helped me, above and beyond their Front Desk duties. THANK YOU ladies for calming my nerves and helping me with some transit issues. The hotel is centrally located, and was very clean with comfortable beds. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for any special occasion, or just for a great place for the night."
