"Called to Helen’s bar after seeing the review in the newspaper. We had driven from kerry to Mizen head and came back by Helen’s bar. Helen is a lady and couldn’t do enough for us. She got an extra table for myself my son and 2 brothers. My brothers were delighted with the price and quality of the Guinness.we ordered food while we were there and it was absolutely delicious. Best food we’ve had in a long time.Helen and her staff couldn’t have been more attentive. The pub was packed at 7pm when we arrived. we left around 10pm and went for a walk down the pier. Highly recommend it for the fabulous staff, service and delicious food. Also great value."
"Fabulous place, we were recommended to eat here and it did not disappoint. We had lunch for four, three seafood platters and an open salmon sandwich. Really super seafood and the wonderfully congenital owner Helen made us feel so welcome. Helen even took the time to write out some directions for our trip around Bera truly amazing. If you’re visiting Ireland or visiting Kerry be sure to call to Helen’s for something to eat you will not be sorry."
"Fabulous, authentic west of Ireland pub in a magical location on the Cork, Kerry border. We had lovely fresh seafood, the battered scallops were heavenly as were the mussels. Helen and Pauline and all the team made us all feel so welcome. You'll never meet such a dynamic duo."
