"Beautiful city and a great hub for going and seeing the natural wonders of County Kerry."
"I love the train service in Ireland, what little is left of it today compared to 100 years ago. Today’s service on the way back though was terrible and I have to leave a review. The scheduled 8pm train from Killarney to Cork wasn’t there, instead we were all bundled off into 3 Kearney’s coaches which would’ve been amazing if it wasn’t for the miserable hot oven of an interior we were forced to be in for an hour and a half. I couldn’t believe that with today’s temperature of 31C, the bus had ho air conditioning but hot air blowing out. Anyway, we were driven safely to Mallow train station and instructed to the train (to Cork) on Platform1 which we boarded. After a wait, the train moves and we think we’re heading to Cork only to hear an announcement half and hour or more later that we are approaching Limerick Junction, the direction opposite to her destination! I wouldn’t have even got off at that point had it not been for my co-passenger who told me we were put in the wrong train and to get off here. Confused we saw others getting off who we were also in the bus with us. We were informed the next train back again to Mallow was not until half hour. Thankfully there was a waiting room. The train was then delayed for another half hour. We kept company with the other tourists. We were lucky that there was a train at 11.30 to take us back to Cork. We finally arrived in Cork for 00:30 and home at 1pm."
"My birthplace and one of my favourite spots in the world. The town and it's national park is one of nature's most majestically beautiful creations."
"Killarney train station, or alternatively, the Platform 9¾ which takes you to the naturistic GEM & most breathtaking 'fairy tale' world of the Emerald Isle."
"Nice centrally located train station. Only negative is a lack of seating as the platform only opens 15 minutes prior to train arrival"
