"Come for the waterfalls; stay for the sheep! That is how my wife and I think of this place. We had no idea of the different options for visiting: hiking in different directions above the falls; hiking up to the lake; hiking around the homes from the famine period. And of course the sheep and lamb in the green meadows. Oh yes and the waterfalls. Sean, the host is excellent, explaining the history and culture on arrival. Don’t miss this place. We came on a day that was very quiet but you might wanna be sure to get there early since sometimes apparently it can get someone full early."
"This is a beautiful park with several different hikes, depending on how long you'd like to stay and how "vertical" you'd like to get. We did the red trail, which led us all the way up to the waterfall, past a gorgeous and tranquil lake, and back down to the bottom of the waterfall. Took us around 90-120 minutes. Bring cash for the admission ticket (it's 7 € per adult). Be careful on the way there: it's a very narrow road, so watch our for cars coming your way."
"This place is one of the most beautiful valleys I have ever seen. It's truly stunning. I have two gripes: 1) the road there is really and truly 1 lane with itty bitty turnouts and in most places meeting anyone on the road will be dangerous and 2) 7 euros per person entrance fee which is incredibly expensive. I'd be happy to pay 5 for a car. Sell me coffee or something and I'd be happy to pay for that"
"Breathtaking scenery. This was probably my favorite place that I visited while in Ireland. Wish I could have stayed longer and explored more."
"Gorgeous hidden gem, we took a really well sign posted route up past the top of the water fall and the views were beautiful. The road to the park is narrow but great to be out in such a peaceful spot"
