"Nice walk over the beach and to the Castle, but it's without any maintenance"
"Beautiful beach in quiet area with ruins of McCarthy's Castle at one end, and a walk on to the ruins of the Abbey at Ballinskelligs."
"Fantastic old ruin situated at the shore of the bay. Great for walks and exploring, especially during low tide, when access to other parts of the bay becomes easier if you don't fancy a swim. The beach itself is magnificent, with lifeguards on duty during summer season, and excellent water quality (Blue Flag status in 2020). Great for kids, as the water is very shallow a good distance into the sea, so even small ones who still have to learn to swim can have a good splash about without being in immediate danger. Nice white sand, great for digging and building castles. There's a kiosk serving coffee, drinks and snacks, and a kayak and surf board rental place. The place gets very busy during the summer months, but never feels crowded. A must if you're in the area!"
"Beautiful peaceful scene. Went during low tide so I could walk on the wide expanse of the beach. There are a few benches to sit on facing the castle to admire its ruins."
"Nice view, ocean around. And crazy cold wind in June. I got so sick after walking in there. Ya, ya, pessimistic person who sees negatives everywhere))"
