"This shop is absolutely shocking. The poor guy working on the till looked like he's gonna have a heart attack any minute. He was under so much pressure and stress from people queuing with complaints and orders. Shop is severely under staffed! JYSK you are a total disgrace! Hire more people and pay them well for their work. Went there to simply exchange a damaged item, was not on the shop floor anymore. A staff member went to get ot from the warehouse and disappeared for over 10 minutes, probably completing other orders while looking for my items replacement. I've left the store without exchanging the item as could not wait any longer."
"What a joke! Was there today lookin to buy a office chair. Found the one I like and asked for help as there was no price on the item. Chair was for some reason zip tied on the high shelf on the wall so there was no way to reach it or to sit in it to try it. When asked could we bring the chair down answer was sorry but this is the company policy and we are unable to do that. JOKE! *Just to mention 1 star is for company and its policy and I'd give a 5 star for very friendly and helpful staff. (As they were just following the company rules) Not coming back."
"Quality of the bedside locker is not great. Cheap finishes, I was expecting better. IKEA is the way to go. On top of that, I had to wait at the till for ages when the store was quiet and then not even an apology or a thank you after my purchase. Won’t come back"
"A place to go for all your furniture needs! Great prices, quality and variety. Click and collect customers have reserved car parks to save time. Fairly quick billing, except the fact that they don't have click and collect counter as other stores do...so you are in the same queue for billing as walk-in customers. The biggest challenge we found was that you pay in the store and collect from a different place which is a warehouse. They need to either arrange to bring products in store or get them delivered free. The road to warehouse was full of waste lying everywhere, making you feel like a garbage yard."
"I'd heard great things about Jysk, about how it was almost as good as IKEA and cheaper. Well it was a little underwhelming on my first visit. Everything seemed to be so chaotic and displays tended to be too high up to examine properly. I'm sure this could be fixed with a few tweaks. Staff appeared to be uninterested - I felt like I was at Woodies trying to "track down" a member of staff for help. On the good side, there are a number of good bargains to be had here and some of the products are of a high quality. I think it will get better as time goes on. A small story to indicate my experience at Jysk: A lady was at the service counter with an item marked 50% off in the store . As she went to pay, she was told that the price was for the next day and not the day she was actually there. She was told she'd have to come back the next day, despite having just picked up the item marked with the reduced price in store, and then she could purchase the item. The shop was about to close for business in this day. Customers were only being let out and nobody was entering at this point. She said, "I've just picked up this item with this price marked on it and you want me to drive all the way back here tomorrow.. really? And then you sell it to me at this price which is already marked on it...". A look of complete apathy and couldn't care less from the customer counter and a monosyllabic, "yes". As the shop was shutting, I couldn't understand why they would do that to a customer. It didn't make sense in building customer loyalty. Anyway, I will be back because I think some of the items are unique enough. The store next door, "The Range" seems like it has everything Jysk has and more so I'm not sure what the point of difference is and why it was decided to locate this store right beside a direct competitor."
