About the Business
Welcome to the Kerry College Admissions Office webpage! Located in the heart of Tralee on Denny Street, our institution is an establishment of interest that offers pathways to progression, employment, third level education, and apprenticeship training.
At Kerry College, we are dedicated to changing lives through education and training. Our Clash Road Campus provides over 40 courses for progression and employment in a wide range of fields. Whether you're interested in business, healthcare, technology, or the arts, we have the perfect course for you.
Exciting and progressive, our Denny Street Campus is a new addition to Tralee Town. It offers a vibrant learning environment where students can pursue their educational goals and aspirations.
For those seeking outdoor and environmental education, our Killorglin Campus is situated in the adventure capital of Ireland. Here, we offer a variety of courses that focus on outdoor activities and environmental conservation.
The Listowel Campus is a key hub for further education and training in North Kerry. With a range of courses available, students have the opportunity to gain the skills and qualifications needed for both progression and employment.
Our Monavalley Campus is home to 110 full-time and part-time courses. It is also where all apprenticeships are delivered. Whether you're interested in becoming an electrician, plumber, or carpenter, our apprenticeship training facility will provide the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful career.
Our students speak highly of Kerry College, stating that it is a great way to start a new career. Although the courses require hard work, the supportive teachers make the learning experience enjoyable and rewarding.
As an integrated college of further education and training, we offer a range of full-time and part-time courses geared towards college progression and employment. Additionally, we have a dedicated apprenticeship training facility to cater to those interested in this career path.
To apply for any of our programs, simply visit the Kerry College website and complete the online application process using our FETCHCOURSES system. If you haven't signed up for a FETCH account yet, don't worry - it's free and only needs to be done once.
For progression-focused courses, applicants are placed on a waiting list, with places typically offered based on the date of application. However, an increasing number of these courses now require admissions interviews or portfolio submissions. For employment-focused courses, an admissions interview is required, and places are offered based on a weighted scoring system. Additional requirements such as trainability tests, medical assessments, and Garda vetting may also be necessary.
If you're interested in an apprenticeship, please note that it is a three-way contract of employment between you, your employer, and SOLAS. On-the-job and off-the-job training are provided in phases. The first step in securing an apprenticeship is finding a job with an approved apprentice employer. For more information, visit www.apprenticeship.ie or contact our Apprenticeship Services team.
At Kerry College, we are committed to providing quality education and training opportunities that lead to successful careers. Join us on this transformative journey and unlock your full potential.
