"Steer clear! Previous reviews are outdated and appear to refer to previous owner. The worst service I have ever received. I made an appointment the week before as I needed work done quickly and local mechanics had long waiting lists. I was told the work should only take an hour so I said that’s great and I will bring my dog in that case and walk him around for an hour. I rang the morning of appointment and was told all was well. When I arrived the mechanic told me he would ring me when he was ready. I knew the job would take less than a half hour so expected a call sooner. I returned almost 2 hours later and my car had not been moved from the spot I had left it. I asked the mechanic why. He told me “ I am busy”. I asked why he didn’t tell me that earlier, he said “ I didant know”. …. Save yourself the stress of dealing with this type. It was 4.20 by then and he informed me that he was finished at 5. He was working on another car at the time so I had no choice but to drive home again. I had a right rant at him before I left plus I rang his boss on the way home and gave him an ear full as well. He tried to turn it on me. And said he had tried to call me earlier from a Mobile no. While I was at work because I had left an incorrect reg. Well either I don’t know my reg or the person with broken English who answered the phone picked it up incorrectly. Either way, that has nothing to do with the fact that they sent me on a wild goose chase. This is my first ever negative review. Hopefully I can save others from these time wasters."

"What a wonderful garage and top class mechanic. I failed my NCT on a lousy bulb and went next door to Tom who dropped everything for me, got me a bulb and fitted it there and then. Only charged me the price of the bulb so an inexpensive fix and best of all my car passed its visual retest 10 minutes later. An absolute gent and extremely courteous, the other great reviews for this garage don't surprise and I only wish that I lived closer as would definitely bring my car to IAS. Thanks again for all your help."

"We stopped at this garage due to the check engine light coming on. We had no appointment nor did we pre-arrange to have the car looked at. The gentleman behind the counter listened to us, offered help and fixed the car in less than an hour. We have never been to a garage that was able to diagnose the problem and fix it on the same day, let alone within an hour! If we could give a 10 star rating we certainly would. There needs to be more people like those that work at Island Auto Solutions, in this world!!!"
