"My gear pedal was often stuck to the floor. Apo had the car for 4hrs to check. He needed to order the part, so I brought the car back a second time. On the day, the part had not arrived but he could not find my phone number and did not let me know. He told me to come back and he would phone me with a date. Got no phone call. I texted a few times and after a few attempts we scheduled a third time. He had the car for 4 hours. At the end he told me to go to my car dealer, because you couldn't be sure what was wrong. He could have told me by phone he did not deal with these type of issues, without wasting so much of my time. So: poor organization, communication and technical ability. Probably ok for a routine service. An update: I brought the car to a mechanic in Coachford, which replaced the faulty part for €370 in one day. He told me the part was clearly brocken and fell off when he went to check it. That means that in the 3 times Apo had the car, he kept it in the yard, without even looking at it."

"Went for servicing my car, he faced some issues with the car while servicing. Honestly told me the problems he faced, gave me another slot where he could check the car thoroughly to find the root cause. In the next appointment, he got the car ready without any problems. Didn't charge me much, was very open about what he knows and what he doesn't! I would highly recommend this guy for a genuine mechanic who doesn't have the intention to rob you! Thanks Apo!"

"I've been going here for many years. I have recommended him to friends and family. Extremely honest, obliging, inexpensive and reliable. I have to question the motives behind some of the negative reviews. If you're considering using this service ask around as half of Ballincollig go here and you'll have no problem getting recommendations. You will have to wait a few days, as he is always very busy, because people appreciate a good job done by a decent, honest man."

"APO (or Hungarian mechanic) in Ballincollig, the WORST mechanic I have ever seen in my entire life. Just a few examples: 1. He asks you to call him back another time because he is driving and no reply whatsoever to the multiple following telephone calls (in two weeks I made 14 telephone calls) 2. He asks you to text him and no reply whatsoever to my text messages (in two weeks sent 3 text messages) 3. You agree with him on a specific day and time to do a 'SMALL WORK' in your car and he FORGETS ABOUT IT 4. For a very simple job like the "oil sump replacement", he doesn't change completely the oil engine and he doesn't even put back the very same oil once drained (if let's say it's a new oil). No no... what he wants to do is draining only part of the existing oil in the engine and replacing it with some "new oil" and basically ending up with "new oil mixed with old oil" and if you try to explain him that this is not the correct way to do this job or if you just try to ask more clarifying questions, his answer is "SORRY BUT YOU ARE ASKING TOO MANY QUESTIONS" 5. For a simple "rocker cover gasket replacement", if you ask to kindly put the red-colored silicon-based one (this is for the more technical people), he simply replies "SORRY BUT I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOUR ARE SAYING" --------------------- I kindly brought to his attention that 'as a customer' I have the right to have an answer to my questions (especially because I am supposed to pay hundreds of euros) but nothing... he just looks at you suspiciously and prefers avoiding my questions. This is the type of mechanic who TAKES ADVANTAGE of customers who don't understand anything about engine and makes money out of it. I guess I gave him all the possible chances to show me that two of my colleagues were wrong about him but nothing: they were absolutely right about his reputation! --------------------- Here I am writing this comment and keeping the promise I made him today when I left his garage as he is far away from being someone who provides a 'decent' quality service. I will only SPREAD BAD WORDS ABOUT THIS GUY and I WILL NEVER EVER GET BACK TO HIM. GUYS STAY AWAY FROM HIM. Do it yourself instead!"
