"A nice little café with lovely staff but terribly overpriced and the food is underwhelming - a small selection of toasties in the range of €12-14 served with a bit of lettuce doused in really sharp vinaigrette. The ingredients are very good quality but the menu doesn't live up to the reputation of the place. Lovely coffee but I won't be rushing back for food."
"I have always enjoyed my visits to the Ballymaloe shop. Recently visited and asked for takeaway coffee and a slice of apple tart. I was very disappointed to hear I could get the coffee but not takeaway apple tart which I had often got before. Unhappy Customer."
"Lovely shop & even better cafe, shop is full of all things wonderful for kitchen and dining room. Cafe is small but has fabulous staff and delicious food. We had soup, savoury tart and sandwich all accompanied by a tasty salad. Nice range of cakes for dessert, of course you know it’s all homemade and it’s tastes it too. Fabulous lunch. They have a broad range of Nicholas Mosse and on leaving the shop buying some jams my husband spotted the bowl I’ve been looking for so if you are a fan it is highly likely you will find your piece here along with a range of other ware, kitchen equipment & quirky little bits."
"Cute shop with a lot of items to choose from."
"Lovely little spot for a coffee and sweet, or for a full lunch. The cafe really is quite small with only about 10 tables or so. I wouldn’t say there is seating for more than about 20 customers or so. The found was delicious, and the coffee was even better. The shop itself is quaint Irish and has a variety of local craft, jarred goods, kitchen items, sweaters etc. The grounds themselves are also quite beautiful. The whole place is picturesque Ireland."
