"I went into this shop about a week ago. I picked up a couple of items and asked about their free worldwide shipping. I was told that it was free but that I HAD to pay 29.90 for insurance. I was hesitant to pay the money because all other stores I went to did not put this stipulation. The lady helping me insisted that I had to pay it. I eventually reluctantly payed the insurance fee as I really wanted to items. When I got back to my hotel, I realized that a few days ago I had bought some items at the Inis Mor store and they did not require that I pay the insurance fee. They actually said I could take out optional insurance if I liked. Since Kenmare was a ways away at this point, the next day I went into the Killarney store to confirm that insurance fee was mandatory. The lovely clerk there said that although it is highly recommended, the insurance was indeed optional. She was nice enough to refund me the insurance fee if I bought something at their store. There was nothing else that I wanted so I ended up just eating the cost of the insurance. My one star review is for the dishonest practice by the sale lady at the Kenmare store. Whether or not I pay insurance should be optional/my choice and communicated as such! Kudos to both the Killarney and Inis Mor shops for being honest!"
