"Bought a promise ring for my fiance in here. Spent approximately €500 on a lovely diamond and white gold ring. When buying the ring I knew it wouldn't fit my fiance, but was told it could be resized, "absolutely no problem". The woman working told me to take the ring away with me and come back in when I wanted it resized. I came back a few days later to get it resized, and was told (by the same member of staff!!) that it couldn't be done, as the small halo stones would fall out, and a new ring would take four weeks to order. I had the rest of my proposal planned for later the following week and asked for my money back, as I was sold the ring under false pretenses. A refund was refused and I was offered a credit note. I ended up having to buy a more expensive promise ring from them. I will never step inside the door here again, and they lost out on a sale significantly more valuable than €500! I would recommend going to an independent jeweler and meeting with a Gemologist. We had a custom ring made by an independent jeweler in Cork for about 20% less than it would have cost at Keanes, and far experienced far superior customer service. The staff selling the jewelery clearly have no idea what they are talking about, and love to trick their customers!"

"We popped in yesterday to get a new battery for my husbands watch, unfortunately we were unable to get one as it needed to be sent away. The lady we dealt with was so helpful, polite and very honest with us. I asked by chance if they could help with a bracelet that was broken, the lovely lady, who I believe was called Breeda took it and fixed it within a couple of minutes. I have had that bracelet laying broken in a box for 18 months as I was waiting to get back to Killarney to go to the shop I bought it in who refused to help me, yet I was able to have it fixed without any hesitation by Breeda. Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kindness. I’ll be back the next time I’m in Killarney!"

I emailed this store that morning on my way down and they told me to pop in and they would kindly assist and that they did especially given that it was a very busy Saturday during tourist season! 5 stars and highly recommended."
