Hanna's Market & Café , County Cork

"Stopped in here for breakfast on the way from Cork to Dublin. A big restaurant and they have a little hatch at the front where people can buy their freshly baked bread and cakes without having to go inside. We were seated quickly, right by the window. Both of us ordered the eggs Benedict - beautiful bacon and perfectly poached eggs on top of a bed of spinach and lovely toasted muffin. I ordered an orange juice and it was freshly squeezed. My mum had a coffee which she said was the nicest she had had in a long time. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Thought it was very reasonably priced also for such high quality food. They were so busy but all the staff knew what they had to do and were on the ball with cleaning tables when a party left so that it was ready for the next customers. All in all, a 5 star experience and a great place to go in Fermoy. Looking forward to visiting again in the future and trying something else on the menu!"

"We visited this morning for my daughters 10th birthday. As a tradition, we have a special breakfast every year! The food here was absolutely amazing,stunningly presented and extremely reasonable in price… The staff are friendly and attentive, and without asking ,the servers put candles in my daughters food and even sang to her…. So a huge thank you to them… the reason I haven’t given 5 stars is purely because of the woman in charge of the meet and greet ( this morning, 9/11/2022 ) When we entered, a woman in a floral shirt, dark hair and sharp looking face greeted ( if that is what you could call it ) us and the door. She stopped, and slowly and with complete deliberation looked us up and down, and almost sneered at us…. She walked us to the table, pointed where to sit , and literally turned her back and walked away. We felt so uncomfortable, and had it not have been for my daughters birthday, we would have turned and walked out. I have never felt so unwelcome in an establishment than I did in that moment. Additional training in regards to meet and greet would greatly benefit this member of staff. Having said that, I am SO GLAD we stayed as the other members of staff and the food was worth a moment of unease! We will definitely return, and will tell others of your little gem of an eatery. Thank you to the staff who made my little girl feel so very special ."

"I went with the family there the food was nice the only thing that needs improvement is the way that they bring the orders to the table. When you with family and friends it is expected that the order come to the table together and not 15 mins after the first one comes in (makes awkward to have to start eating before all food come in otherwise it gets cold). The environment is good though."

"Had a splendid time in Hanna's today for lunch. Staff were very friendly and helpful even when we had an extra person join us half ways through the meal they had no problem seating and serving them. The food was beautiful, my wife had the Warm Duck salad which was seasoned beautifully and had the right balance between a light but wholesome bite. I went for the Roast Lamb and was delighted with how tender the lamb was. Overall a very happy experience as a family of 4 in Hanna's"

"latest visit review: after a week from my first visit, I saw new items in their menu and went straight for shakshuka (according to the staff, I was the 1st customer to order it). It was AMAZING!!!! a well thought and balanced dish. kudos to whoever suggested to put this in the menu. my husband also enjoyed his roast of the day. again, customer service is superb! 1st visit review: Thankful to my friend who brought me in this lovely cafe. Food and customer service were amazing! We'll definitely visit again."
