"Great place to land in the middle of town. Very kind staff, place felt like a home immediately. Enough room to cooked or yourself, place to hang out with other guests and everyone is so nice! Justin told us about the ins and (mostly) outs of Galway, I felt very welcome and would have stayed longer could. I would deduct a point for their intolerance towards ducks but I hear that has since been resolved. So 5/5 will go back."
"Home away from home. Justin basically adopted us straight away, knew all the Intel and was discrete and lovely. The only downside is that you're not allowed any ducks - we had to hide our pet ducks."
"Most notably about this place is the great hospitality of the staff. They were super helpful, and nice and made our stay all the more enjoyable. There is free coffee (and tea) and the location is pretty good as well."
"Worst place I’ve ever stayed at. I’ve been at a lot of hostels & this one was the grossest. I only had 1 night & I wanted to cry the whole time. I had to close my eyes when in the shower to try ignore how disgusting it was. Layer of soap scum, hair, dust, mould all over everything. The room itself was crammed & dirty. My bunk bed squeaked all night, I sat down & I dipped into the mattress cause the bed frame was broken. Everything in the kitchen was oily, the sponges were full of food, even the bench chairs were stained. I paid I think €40 for the night since it was a Friday, complete waste of money. If I had the extra money, I would’ve searched for another place to stay."
"Justin was a really great host, so kind and accommodating. The kitchen, living area, bedrooms and outdoor areas were clean and comfortable. My only niggle was that the bathrooms could do with more regular and thorough cleaning, hence not awarding a full 5 stars. Other than that, my first experience at a hostel was a positive one, and we had good fun hanging out and felt safe and welcome at this hostel."
