"If you're looking for a bed and breakfast in Ireland, I would strongly recommend staying with Ms Margaret at Decies Bed and Breakfast in Middleton. Located just about 1.6km from the famous Jameson distillery, Decies B&B is well situated for anyone interested in not only the quaint town but also drinking a lil historic whiskey. This B&B was built from the ground up by Margaret and her husband, over 30 years ago with the expressed purpose of providing a home and breakfast to all travelers. There's two floors with rooms on each with a combination of either suites or singles. Each room comes complete with their own bathroom. You're then given a key to both your room and the door to the residence. Margaret is extremely accommodating. She does her best to properly satisfy your breakfast needs and she can make a mean irish breakfast. This place has so much character. There's a cute, cozy living room attached to the dinning area as well as the main hall which takes you to the kitchen, TV room, ground floor rooms as well as a stairway to the next floor of rooms and main entrance. It's easy to fold into this space because there is a strong sense of family here. Margaret sometimes watches her darling lil granddaughter. Every so often you may see her husband who's over 103 years of age. Wowza!! The grounds are well manicured complete with a lil statue of an angel and bird sitting over a small fish filled pond on the front yard. Have to say leaving here was tough cause it felt like leaving a really close friend or family that you've visited for several days. I'm definitely coming back to this B&B and despite the ~3hr drive to Dublin to tour the city and check out the Guinness Factory. I must also say that the people in Middleton are some if the nicest I've met. Whilst walking through the city we were pleasantly assisted with directions from kids going to and fro. I'll have to post something separate in the town of Middleton but suffice it to say, it's a nice small town with surprisingly plenty of food options..."
