"We just spent a week at Dunowen with extended family, 13 of us ages 2 to 80! It was an 80th birthday celebration and Dunowen was the perfect place. For our celebration meal Kela cooked and it was delicious. The living spaces in the house are ample and it meant we were all comfortable, whether we needed to nap or watch cartoons or play cards. The kitchen is well equipped, and Kela lives next door and was happy to pop a cake tin down for us. There’s loads to do for all ages around Clonakilty and the beach near Dunowen is charming. Highly recommended for large family groups or groups of friends."

A gorgeous venue to gather with friends and family for a fun, relaxing break amidst beautiful countryside beside the sea! Kela & Stephen were fantastic hosts and so pleasant to deal with!"

"Just back from a magnificent Halloween weekend spent in Dunowen. Kela and Stephen are great hosts, lovely touches like being greeted with still warm scones, apple cake with their own apples and wood lit fires all add to Duonowen's charm. It is the perfect house to host a family get together or similar. I celebrated my 50th birthday with my oldest and dearest friends and Dunowen was the perfect backdrop for it. I had asked Kela to prepare me some fish pies and a vegetarian dish for the birthday dinner, both were delicious. Sunday morning we had a sauna and swim on Red Strand, suggested by Kela, and it really was the best of fun ( i didn't think i could actually get into the Atlantic after half my life spent living in Italy !!!) I highly recommend Dunowen, you won't be disappointed."
