"Food quite average pub grub."
"Beautiful hotel in the centre of skibereen wonderful decor great service food of very good standards very welcoming staff.."
"Went to the hotel today for a family lunch, to say we were disappointed was an understatement. The glasses that came to our table were filthy, when I brought them back, the same happened with them 3 times. They ended up giving me cardboard cups, the cutlery also was not cleaned properly. The hotel is general is very old and run down and smells like a hospital. The biggest disappointment of the visit was the food. We ordered 2 x kids pasta with cheese, along with bacon and cheese burger, tuna melt and goujans for the adults. The children’s pasta was absolutely tiny and cold. It was €5 a piece. I questioned the waitress on this and she said that’s the way it comes. The tuna melt had virtually no tuna in it and the cheeseburger was greasy. Upon paying I asked to speak the the manager whom was also the waitress , she was extremely rude and abrupt to us and didn’t want to take on board what we had to say. She was the owners daughter she said and that’s how they do it. With some customer service Training, an improved menu and chef along with giving the hotel a good scrub down and paint this hotel then might actually warrant the 2 stars it is"
"Nice place good food great service, staff can't do enough for you. Excellent value"
"We were seated in the beer garden. Lots of sheltered areas with tables. A good selection of cafe type food along with full dinners. Service was quick and the food was nicely prepared with lovely mixed side salads. Everyone enjoyed their orders. Prices weren't bad. Would definitely recommend. 4 adults and 3 teenagers 2 under 10."
