"We stayed in 4 different hotels/B&Bs during our trip to Ireland and this one was the BEST! We decided to splurge and stay in this lovely castle hotel for 2 nights and it was wonderful. The grounds are beautiful, the dogs that live on the grounds were so sweet and playful, the breakfast each morning was top notch and the rooms were so comfortable! Do not miss a chance to stay at Ballyseede, even if only for one night. We loved it!"
"Stunning castle inside and out. Beautifully decorated and well-kept! We ate both breakfast and dinner in the castle and the food and service was fantastic. We enjoyed talking to Joe who was our server at breakfast! “Molly” and “Hope”, the four-legged greeting hosts, were added delights! Would return on a future visit to Ireland! Highly recommend!"
"All I can say is WOW! From the property grounds to the excellent staff, this castle hotel exceeded expectations. The rooms were spacious and charming, and the common areas luxurious and beautiful. We had breakfast at the castle for two mornings, and the food was delicious. There we met Esther and Doreen who not only provided us with wonderful service, but they helped us find local activities and unique things to explore. Behind the bar at night we met Eddie who was excellent to talk to! We can’t wait to return!"
"You are greeted by Molly the Irish wolfhound at the front door. The whole stay was faultless start to finish. We stayed in the McAleese suite, which was on the ground floor and had a walk in rain shower. Rooms were elegant , and lovely and toasty! Breakfast was fabulous. Esther served us and made sure we went without nothing. She is the nicest, most caring waitress we have ever come across in any hotel. She was excellent at her job, but went over and above to ensure we were happy with everything. Esther makes the castle feel like home away from home. She was full of fun and you can tell she really loves her job. We went to a wedding there during our stay. Paul ensured everything ran smoothly and was always to hand if needed. The food was faultless, the Orangery was amazing for drinks reception and the wedding ceremony room had a real castle feel with stone walls all around and a real fireplace at the top of the room draped in candles. We will certainly be back. A fantastic hidden gem!"
