Reviews
"The room was small, electrical outlets did not work, my pillow had mold, the curtains would not close properly. I had to use a hair clip to keep it shut so people would not see me change on the first floor. No carpet anywhere and it was extremely loud when other guests returned home. The shower got the bathroom floor completely soaked and there were not enough towels to soak up the mess. This is a slipping hazard. Would not recommend."
"The room was extremely loud, the hallway basically amplified all the noise of people checking in late and in the morning (by like 7:30) we could hear every chair move in the dining area. Cars passed by fairly frequently and the rooms are about 10 meters from the main road. The people working here are not Irish and not helpful. Several sources state that breakfast is included when it is not. We brought this up to the summer employees and it seemed as if the person who owns the place (who we of course did not meet) doesn’t really care. The interior is very impersonal, feels like a hospital room. The shower is open so water got all over the bathroom floor. The toilet doesn’t even have a lid. This was one of the worst places I’ve stayed at, and I’ve stayed at tent hostels that were better value."
"Clean and comfortable. A mirror in the room, near a plug socket would have been very useful. Guys cooking and managing the place we're very friendly and helpful. Location was within easy walking distance from pubs and restaurants but quiet enough to sleep. Grounds could do with a spruce up, maybe some flowers. We would definitely go back again."
"We spent 2 weeks in Ireland and this was one of our top stays. The building is quaint and accessible with nice historic touches. The room we stayed in was small, but modern and comfortable. The town is small, but has a couple nice pubs and places to eat. Parking is ample. The real attraction is the service. The host was outstanding in every way. Friendly, accommodating, and outgoing without being intrusive. Breakfast (with vegetarian options) was cooked quickly and expertly with attention paid to all the details, even when we were the only guests at the lodge. The Lodge is about 20 minutes away from Dingle, which allowed us small-town accommodations with all the access to the larger and more "touristy" Dingle."
"My tour group Paddy wagon had originally booked to stay at the hostel next door but the paddy palace was too gross for me to stomach so I ponied up the difference and stayed here. I can say that was the best $30 I have ever spent. This room is bright sunny and clean and I have it to myself. It’s actually gorgeous and a full breakfast is included. The dinner tonight at the adjacent pub the Randy Leprechaun was pretty bad so I don’t have much hope for breakfast being any good however the room is gorgeous."
