Holiday Inn Express Grimsby, an IHG Hotel 3 - 9 Wellowgate, Grimsby DN32 0RA

"Surprisingly nice and clean hotel! Now, to explain my stars: I gave 4⭐ for the rooms because of an objective reason: it is not classified as a 5⭐ hotel. Even though the room had 2 beds, with fresh white linen, there was only 1 set of towels and the shampoo bottle was empty. Now, some of you will say that other hotels do not give shampoo. Of course you are right, but this one, if it wants to offer this favor to the clients, then they have to make sure the bottle is full. Service: I had breakfast included, but obviously not only me, so by the time I got down for breakfast, some of the trays were empty. I could see many workers in the dinner, but should be a person designated to make sure everything is refilled. Location: even though it was my first time in Grimsby, I could see that the hotel is right next to the train station. Could be a plus, could be a minus. I leave it to your appreciation! Although it is right next to a nice plazza, nice pubs and restaurants, and shopping markets. As a certainty, I ll be back here sometime in March!"

"Nice hotel, clean and warm with a comfy bed and the free breakfast is always a good way to start the day lots of choice and plenty of it, even take away cups/lids and sandwich bags to make your own breakfast to go. Our room overlooked the railway station but couldn't hear anything that disturbed us. There is a great Chinese restaurant a few mins walk out the front of the hotel and left called 'The Fan' highly recommended, decor tired but food outstanding."

"Enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Facilities are fairly new and clean. We had interconnecting rooms which was very handy. Pros: breakfast included, and they also provide bags so you can take it away. It had a good location for Grimsby centre. On site car park Cons: car park is payable and difficult as you get charged each time you leave. Also, creaky floors."

"Very comfortable, spacious bedroom, modern bathroom and good breakfast. Staff was nice and helpful. The only minor inconvenience is quite tight car park with limited number of spaces, so probably first in, first served. Also car park was paid separately, as it was managed by independent company. Other than that, all was really good and I would definitely recommend."
