"I found Rase to consistently poor in their general practice and communications. My dog was hospitalised and an care plan was put in place for him to have intravenous fluids and antibiotics and an ex lap( operation)He was mean to be transferred on the Saturday morning after being admitted on Friday evening during the out of hours service. He was never given intravenous antibiotics. A vet carried out an ultrasound using a machine that she was ‘not aquatinted with’ - that were the vets words in her input onto his case notes (evidence available). 3 ultrasounds later, I was told he had pancreatitis and didn’t need an operation and he would be home in a few days (got call recordings after making a subject access request) 24 hours later I received a call to advise he needed an ex lap (operation) as he had deteriorated and they didn’t want to leave it until he would no longer be able to tolerate anaesthesia. I received a call during the operation advising he had developed Peritonitis (whilst in hospital with Rase) due to a mass that had burst (again in their care) and the prognosis wouldn’t be good and recommended euthanasia. I’ve pursued a complaint with the Customer Service Manager and still received no answers or an official response to my complaint. I have had to go through the VCMS to try and mediate with this mediocre Veterinary practice but they told the VCMS that if I pursued them further they would reverse any discounts they gave me and pursue me through debt recovery in addition to the outstanding costs of £300 (which I have refused to pay as I believed they have been negligent). A special mention for the Customer Service Manager who told me she has a degree in law after I told her I would pursue a complaint through the Courts and RCVS. I found her, along with Rase VS LTD to be incompetent. Please, if you have a pet that you care for dearly do not take them to this veterinary practice. They lie, cost build and let staff loose on machinery they are not aquatinted with. again these were the vets words (on paper) not mine."
"Went to the vets this morning-I understand the vets get busy and appointments get behind, that is not the problem at all. There needs to be some sort of policy in place to say 2 people per animal, we went in for a checkup appointment with our anxious kitten and there was a family with 2 women and 3 young kids all with 1 cat. The kids in general were misbehaving shouting, screaming, throwing toys next to my already distressed kitten. Parents or guardians were encouraging the children to misbehave. Having to wait over an hour for out appointment meant that our kitten was very distressed and this made it very much worse. The vets is not a day out for children and for animals it is already a nerve wrecking thing and then to have children running around causing absolute mayhem is just appalling! Again-this is not against the vets themselves they are perfect and the receptionists too, there just needs to be a policy put in place regarding either no children or 2 people per animal. Not to mention the children could have waited in the car with the other adult as there was 2 older adults."
"Highly rated, I'm cat was very poorly, they see me straight away. If my cat wasn't seen I'm sure I would have lost him. I can not thank them enough for the help. Very friendly ladies. Worth more than a 5 *"
