"Brilliant hide overlooking the bird breeding ground. £6 for an adult ticket to visit all the hides, no time limit so that's a bargain. All facilities very well looked after."
"Absolutely beautiful!! My little bit of heaven on Earth."
"Nice little nature reserve where you can spot rareish birds. There are several hides and it's well looked after as well. By the beach there is a little marina with quite a few yachts in too. There also is a convinient and paved footpath for much of the seafront and you can walk from here through to Hill head and onto Lee On Solent too, but it can get busy in nicer weather."
"A great local beach to spend the day with free parking. Can get busy so parking can be a bit hit and miss. When the tide is out, it’s great for the kids and plenty of sand. When the tide is in its only stones & pebbles but ok if you handle that. There’s usually an ice cream van too."
"Love it here, not much reason to drive to Bournemouth or West Wittering for those of us with this beach much closer. Loses a star for me because the old toilet block on the west side is a bit grotty, but there's always the modern block at the Hill Head end if you're fussy. If you need enough sand to build a sandcastle then check the tide times as high tide will be no good for that. Low tide also has the interest of revealing the spit where the tides from both directions meet and part so you can walk much further out, - great if you have kids who like searching for shells."
