"Went in on a Saturday and after being left to browse the store a salesman Louis who asked if we needed any assistance which we did. As we had limited space in our living room, and we specifically wanted a chaise sofa and separate lounge chair he helped us greatly by showing us chaise sofas that would fit our space. He took the time to show us many variants and we also wanted a mustard / sunflower colour sofa. Louis found the perfect sofa and configured it for us. He then found us a contrasting lounge chair that would match our new decor. We then needed a new dining room suite and once again nothing was to much hassle and we got the suite we wanted in the colour we wanted. All the staff at FV were brilliant. Not pushy of forceful. Louis was brilliant from start to finish and we will be back in 2 months to see him again to look for an additional sofa for our second sitting room. Can’t fault FV in any way and highly recommend"

"Seems like my review is no longer available, so felt I need to repost. Bought 3 sofas a year ago, but within 10 months the foam seat on one of them lost all support. Their tame inspector said it was "Settlement" but I'll bet he wouldn't have it in his house. It offers no support and has contributed to a worsening of my existing back problem.. I am now looking to buy a replacement sofa, but this time from Next so I can be assured of quality furniture and service which I did not get from Furniture Village. Just hope Dove house will accept my year old leather sofa"

"Me and my partner visited furniture Village in Hull to purchase a bookcase/ shelving unit. Whilst in the store we saw a lovely light which we wanted to purchase. We also found a shelving unit which was good value for money and we both really liked it so we went to the desk to pay for it and the light. We had to wait around for 20 minutes because the sale assistant was serving another customer. Eventually another sale assistant came over we said we would like to purchase both items. We sat down Whilst he put items into the computer only to be told the bookcase/ shelving had been sold. There was no sold sign on the item which was very annoying and a waste of our time."
