"Beings as I needed a basketball I thought I would pop into sports direct as because they are a sports shop I thought they would provide with a basketball and a net also. When looking for a basketball i shortly discovered that they didn’t have any on shelf nor did they have any nets. I had to speak to one of the colleagues there, in which he provided me a basketball that he had to get from the back. When paying for the ball the lack of customer service was appalling and disgraceful as I was waiting at the till for 15 mins whilst no one decided to serve me. There was several colleagues who could have served me but they didn’t and once the game employee told one of the staff about me the sports direct employee gave no urgency to serve me and still decided to wait until he wanted to come over. Absolutely shocking behaviour."

"*posting since the redesign* thank you for making it less intimidating, crowded and much easier to navigate around. It’s generally a much more inviting appearance/layout. However, you barely sell ANY sports equipment anymore. You’ve just become another chav’s wardrobe, all you sell is sports clothes. Such a let down, please sort this out and stock more equipment."

"Took a pair of Karrimor walking trainers back after the lace loop snapped, they were only 4 months old. Not sure if they would be happy to replace them but found a very helpful response from staff member Anthony who was so helpful and found a replacement pair in minutes. Thanks for a great service."

"Good selection of shoes at reasonable prices. However, lack of staff made our visit twice as long as it should have been. Also, staff didn't have a foot measuring device and they wouldn't check my sons shoe snugnes/sizing and said they don't do that and I needed to do it. I Wasn't really sure what I was checking but brought them anyway."

"I visit here regularly and have found that there are some real bargains to be had. This place has a lift, escalator and stairs as it is on the first floor. I am not aware of any toilet facilities here, it does have changing/ fitting rooms. It has a huge selection of sporting equipment and clothing it also does some casual clothing it's the same for the footwear dept, there is also a large selection of coats.Staff are helpful but there can be queues at the till. Whatever you are looking for in sporting or casual it is worth a look here, prices are cheaper than elsewhere."
