"Called to get an emergency appointment only to be told by a RECEPTIONIST that I should go to the pharmacy. For a bowel complaint!!! And she insisted she didn’t have appointments. What do you have to do to see a Doctor these days? Where are they hiding? Why are they so scared to see people? They’re pay should be halved as they’re appear to only be doing half a job. Disgusted by the whole attitude and procedure. Doctors are there to help people not stress them out trying to book an appointment."
"Appointments are few and far between. Once you see a Doctor they are very good. Called in tonight 5pm to try to get an urgent appt, although the receptionist was polite the system was closed and ring 8am in the morning, asked for help sending photo of ongoing very painful red swollen foot. Annoying that surgery was empty. online. When will people understand that not everyone goes on line"
"My wife called today morning for an emergency doctors appointment. My wife being a nurse doesn’t bother with the GP on minor issues. Even for our children, our GP appointments and far and few. We had 0 appointments last year and probably 1 or 2 the year before. This year we have had 1 appointment for my eldest child who was prescribed antibiotics. Today my wife called in for a doctors appointment. Both me and my wife and suffering for flu symptoms the past week. We both been off-sick for the whole week. Request for a doctor appointment was not to be, instead referred her to the pharmacy. Had repeatedly requested that we get a doctors appointment, but the receptionist just wouldn’t listen. Got a call back from the pharmacy at approx 17:30. Referred us back to the GP. Called the GP again to get an appointment and explained the situation but the receptionist hung the phone on her. While they expected the patient to be courteous, they too have a duty of care and concern for their patients."
"I have been at this doctors surgery 14 years and today was the worst experience to date. I phoned to make appointments for me and my children and I was spoken to in the most disgusting way. The receptionist on the phone had a can’t be bothered attitude. It was almost like it’s 5.30pm on a Friday we close soon I can’t be bothered to help you attitude. While asking how I make a complaint and explaining how upset this interaction had made me and that I was absolutely gobsmacked at the manner in which I was spoken to in, the receptionist put the phone down on me. I wasn’t verbally aggressive I didn’t swear I simply wanted to make an appointment and the receptionist didn’t even look to see if there were any available it was a flat out you need to phone Monday when more are released. I’m highly disappointed, this use to be such a lovely helpful practice but this has just made me feel that the patient is not important. I work in healthcare and have done for 10 years and this is not best practice when dealing with patients. This receptionist clearly doesn’t understand how to relay information in a way that is different to every patient, she lacks patient dignity and respect, person-centred care was not at all at the forefront of this receptionists mind. I will be making a formal complaint to the practice manager on Monday. I feel this receptionist could benefit from some further training in her telephone manner, person-centred care and that dignity, respect and compassion should always be shown, clearly skills this receptionist lacks."
"Absolutely useless service .I had booked phone appointment for last Friday between 9-6pm ,checking phone if dr called then before 6pm received text message that “dr out of hours” will call me on Sat morning.Unfortunately no one calls. On Monday 28 minutes on the phone to Surgery, and heard that my healh problem is not the reason to see doctor. It’s JOKE.Seems like we dont need doctors anymore .Receptionist can diagnosed you in one minutes."
