"The cleaners & chefs are beautiful people, they ask me how I am more than most. The activity coordinators are fabulous people, vikki in particular was fab but is no longer here. Vik was incredible and goes above the call of duty to entertain us all which keeps my mind occupied from the racing racing thoughts Psychology is amazing. Drs don't listen to you so no point bothering there. There are some amazing staff here that care about you and your recovery. However, there are also staff who ignore you and are clearly unfortunately just here for their paycheck and nothing else. I woke up at 2am this morning in massive amounts of pain and was ignored and told to go back to bed. This morning because a nurse who is lovely is on shift, I was listened to and provided with painkillers to help with the pain. I'm here because I want to end my life and this place is giving me no reason as to why I shouldn't go through with it. One specific nurse at night is very patronising towards us patients and doesn't listen and I am complaining about her. When I first arrived I was given no welcome pack, they say they will write your nurse in charge on your whiteboard which never happened, another patient had to help me find out. Infact, it's the patients who have shown me the ropes in here. The garden is locked and sometimes we are allowed fresh air, but sometimes we aren't. Some staff can be unsympathetic about the situation you have found yourself in. It's an NHS hospital so I wouldn't expect anything more but there's not enough compassion or understanding in this world. I've lost all hope."

"We have called 3 times over the last 3 days to find out how our relative is, and each time we were promised a call back, and we are still waiting. As this is a mental health hospital, and support from family is paramount, it's appalling."
"This facility needs improvement. The staff were wonderful, the environment was wonderful but risk management was not. You DO NOT keep China cups for patients in such a facility as they can be smashed and cause serious harm. Also, only 1 visitors room which meant I had to meet my relative in reception and the main doors were not secure. Anyone could simply slip out and disappear."
