"Great wee shop, we call here every time we're in Newcastle. Had to resist buying more beautiful coloured glass, but did pick up a few vinyls for a great price. Stock seems to be different every time we go in which is great. Owner even gifted my daughter and I a box of chocolates with our purchase. Would definitely recommend."
"This is a store of interest. Many items to boggle your mind with. Immediate 5 stars."
"Whenever we are in Newcastle our very first place to call is alway Vintage etc. What a wonderful place. There is always something which brings back pleasant memories of days gone by or childhood and the prices are very reasonable. If you get the chance to call in you won't be disappointed. We have always found the owners and staff very knowledgeable and friendly and in these difficult days that can sometimes be challenging. The property is fully compliant with Covid guidlines with hand sanitiser readily available and in full view as is signage indicating that wearing of face covering is mandatory in the shop, not only for your protection but also the protection of staff and other customers. It was therefore disappointing that on our last visit some customers had to be requested, very politely I might add, to use the sanitiser, and others to wear face covering. The latter, a lady and gentleman appeared to be annoyed at this request and went back out of the shop where they had some sort of discussion. In the end the lady came back in wearing a mask while the gentleman remained outside, his choice no doubt. Yes, at the end of the day, certain people are medically exempt from wearing a mask, my wife is one of those people. However for the short time she is in a shop she still insists on either wearing a mask or visor for the protection of herself and others. Imagine if, by not wearing a mask you brought the virus home to your loved ones. You cannot socially distance within the confines of a small shop so therefore you are required to wear a face covering, and should not be offended or be rude to staff when asked to do so. At the end of the day if you don't want to wear a face covering then don't go in the shop"
"A fantastic shop, with staff that are so knowledgeable in the stock they sell. Always something new (even tho it’s old) to see in the shop. The fact the staff make sure everyone sanitises is reassuring given that most people handle the stock really makes the difference in the current climate. Highly recommend a visit."
"Possibly the worst shopping experience I've had. I was barked at yesterday by the woman on the till upon entry to sanitise & put on a mask - I had literally only entered the store and had not yet had a chance to sanitise, I'm also, quite obviously, 24 weeks pregnant, with a high risk pregnancy & my sister in law who was also with me is high risk asthmatic & breathing problems. My Mother wore a mask as she's no underlying conditions. The lady also barked at my SIL, "Are you high risk too!?" The shop was lovely & some good stock but, even with the pandemic, there is a way to speak to people & the sales assistant put us off buying anything."
