"Just out from Hygienest in the above practice. Christina was so caring and helpful. She also cleaned my teeth up great. Her dental assistant Naomi was lovely too. Thank you."
"Dr Kathryn Charleton is the best dentist I have ever been to. In 46 years visiting numerous dentists, and across various countries, I have NEVER had such a pain free dentist experience. She numbed my cheek and gum with a local anaesthetic on a cotton wool pad and waited till it took effect, before gently injecting my gum with anaesthetic, and I never even felt the needle go in or anything else for that matter which is highly unusual. With other dentists at different practices over the years, I would feel the needle go in painfully, and also the sting when anaesthetic was injected, which is highly unpleasant to say the least and most often painful, but with her I felt absolutely nothing. She performed root canal on a molar with difficult curved canals, which is most people's worst nightmare procedure. However, with Dr Charleton this was the easiest procedure I have ever undergone, and I can assure anyone who is afraid of dentists (as I usually am), you have absolutely nothing to be anxious about. I could not believe for the first time in my life (46yrs of dentists!), that I never experienced any pain at the dentist. Her assistant nurse Tara is also a gem, and via suction she kept all debris and fluid from accumulating in the back my throat, which is yet another first for me. In fact,Tara was so efficient the debris and fluid never even accumulated past the local tooth area treated, another first for me. I have had occasions at other practices where I am literally almost drowning and coughing, before they suction the area. So that is another reason for a full star rating. I travelled quite a distance to see Dr Charleton and I am going back again for more treatment on an ongoing basis, which will give you some indication of what a fantastic dentist she is. The fees are very reasonable, all the staff and receptionists are friendly and very professional, with excellent communication. I would give this practice and Dr Charleton a hundred star rating if I could, and I am usually very conservative with any rating. So if you are looking for a dentist and practice that really is outstanding, I cannot recommend them highly enough! Regarding the very few erroneous and negative reviews of the practice, which in my opinion are posted largely due to ignorance and vexatious behaviour. These negative reviews are posted without full explanation and lack any detail, in addition they fail to acknowledge any possible self neglect. It is absurd that Google can allow people to post these negative reviews without full explanation and detail. Fillings don't just fall out. Maybe chewing too many soft toffees or eating too many hard sweets wasn't such a good idea? Readers have no idea of what was the actual cause, and the practice also tried to get hold of the person but they refused to answer or return the phone calls, and then he goes on to post a negative review without affording the practice a chance to address the purported issue? The other person who purportedly had a "dentist friend" commenting on the procedure and referring to "microscopic" filling required, makes broad unsubstantiated and erroneous statements which I find extremely puzzling. Knowledge of same would indicate technical knowledge, of which it is patently clear the individual has none. If they indeed did have a "dentist friend" why not go to them in the first place? Then there is the person who purportedly had a veneer "fall off" repeatedly, and then went to a different practice to have a replacement of a completely different material re-attached in a different procedure, and as she stated a "Zircon crown". The Zirconium oxide "crown" covers the entire tooth. A veneer only covers the front of the tooth. So by her own admission she had a completely different procedure. To "Crown" it all, she posted a negative review by her own admission several years after the event. This alone should tell you all you need to know about that particular review...."
"I have had a filling come out after a couple of days from this practice and now a crown which are expensive and came out after 6 months. You have to book time of your job twice, wouldn't recommend."
